10.17 Locking a Case
This lesson will show you how to lock a case, which will disable editing functionality for standard users until it is unlocked by an admin.
Locking a case
To lock a case, use the dropdown menu beside the "Edit" button and click "Lock".
Confirming the lock
You will be prompted to confirm that you want to lock the case.
Once locked, editing functionality will be disabled until an admin user unlocks the case.
To confirm that you want to lock the case click "Yes". The case will now be locked.
Unlocking a case
When locked, a padlock icon will be shown beside the case description.
To unlock the case click the unlock button. Only admin users can unlock a locked case.
Confirming an unlock
When unlocking a case, you will also be prompted to confirm that you want to proceed.
Click "Yes" to unlock the case and re-enable editing functions.
