4.2 Localizing AgileCase

This lesson will show you how to set your location in AgileCase using our localization feature.

Access the localization feature

To access localization settings, click the "Localization" button on the setting menu under "System Settings".

Localization

On the localization page you can select from our preset region or create your own custom location.

Choosing a locale changes your date format, currency and certain pieces of terminology. For example the US locale uses the term "Zip Code" whilst the UK uses "Postcode".

This allows you to tailor AgileCase to the vocabulary of your company and user's home country.

Selecting a region

To select your region from our default range, simply use the dropdown menu at the top of the page and select the relevant region from the list.

If you are not based in one of these regions, you can use the "Custom" option to create your own localization settings.

Select a base

The first step in creating a custom region is to select a base. If your base is not included, select other and you will be able to manually fill out each option. Once you have chosen your base, click "Populate" to proceed.

Choose your settings

After choosing a base for your custom location you will be able to fill out the date, currency and vocabulary options that are preset in the default regions. This means you can customize the vocabulary of the system to your location, your industry and the internal vocabulary of your company.

For example, the term "customer" may be more appropriate for your business than "client". To change this simple enter "Customer" in to the text box beside "Client" and all instances in your system will be amended after you save.

Save you changes

Once you have finished configuring your localization settings, click "Save Changes" to save and enact them.
