11.12 Locking a Contact


This lesson will show you how to lock a contact in AgileCase. This will disable all editing functionality until the contact is unlocked by an admin.

Locking a contact

 

Just like cases, your contacts in AgileCase can be locked.

Locking a contact will disable all editing functionality until an admin user unlocks them.

To lock a contact, open the dropdown menu beside the "Edit" button and click "Lock".

Confirming the lock

 

You will be prompted to confirm that you want to lock the contact.

Click "Yes" to proceed. Once locked only an admin user can unlock the contact.

Unlocking a contact

 

When locked a padlock icon will be displayed beside the contact name and code.

Standard users will not be able to edit contact details until the case is unlocked.

To unlock a case click the "Unlock" button.

Confirming the unlock

 

When unlocking a contact you will be prompted to confirm that you want to proceed. Click yes to do so.

The case will now be unlocked an editing will be re-enabled.
