10.9 Document Sharing


This lesson will explain how the document sharing functionality works in AgileCase.

Sharing a link to a document

 

In order to share a link to a document, click the dropdown button opposite the document on the "Docs and Comms" tab and select "Share Link".

 

 

You will now be able to configure your link before you share it. You can add a password and an expiration date to the link to make it more secure. Once you are happy with your link settings, click "Copy Link and Save" to publish the link for sharing. Now anyone that opens the link will have to enter the password in order to proceed to the download page.

Setting a password

 

By clicking "Set visibility" on the shared link window you can set a password to improve the security of you link. Simply check the "Only people with the password" box and type your password of choice in the text box below.

Setting an expiration date

 

You can also set an expiration date for a link by clicking the "expiration" button. This allows you to select a date from which the link will be rendered inactive, providing an extra layer of security upon password protection.

 

Once a link has been shared this symbol will appear beside the document. Clicking the symbol will open window containing the link which you can copy and paste to the relevant contacts. The link will take you to a page from which you can download the document.

After using the shared link you will be taken to this page which will allow you to download the document by clicking "Download"
